Concert Choir and Premier Singers garnered 2 Gold 1st Place awards and four additional trophies at the Heritage Festival in San Francisco on Friday, April 29th.
The judges, who placed them in categories where they competed against AAA High School chamber and concert choirs because of their excellence of performance and maturity of sound, awarded both groups the 1st Place Gold award (besides being rated with bronze, silver or gold, each choir was ranked in its category), and the coveted Adjudicators Choice trophy. Concert Choir also received the Outstanding Choral Group trophy, and both choirs together received the Festival Sweepstakes trophy for receiving the highest scores of any organization which brought two or more choral groups to the festival.
Adjudicators were amazed not only at the beautiful singing of the two groups, but at their wonderful discipline! They used the words: Beautiful! Lovely performance! Really terrific! Amazing! Bravo! Outstanding! Wonderful! Wow! Wonderful maturity of sound! Richness beyond your years! Exquisite! Incredible! Unparalleled musicianship!
Of course, both groups were invited to participate in the Festival of Gold at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2011 or 2012.
