Fall, 2018 Term To Begin
When Treasure Valley Young Artists took the stage May 11th for their Spring Awards Concert, they beamed with a radiance born of enthusiasm and confidence. It was evident from the very first strains to the thrilling Grand Finale that these precious vocalists had paid the price in hard work and discipline.
“I am so proud of our young singers,” stated Linda Walker, Artistic Director. “They worked diligently to memorize their songs and to perfect the sound, and each choir did an absolutely wonderful job. I couldn’t be more pleased!”
This was the 30th annual Spring Concert presented by the highly touted Nampa-based performance group. The concert was presented in Swayne Auditorium at N.N.U. to an enthusiastic and appreciative audience of several hundred.
“I was especially pleased with both the refined sound and the stage presence of each choir,” exclaimed Bruce Walker, Managing Director. “The singers have improved so much under the expert and enthusiastic tutelage of Mrs. Walker, and are to be congratulated for their continuing hard work!”
AUDITIONS
Auditions: Tuesday, September 4th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Nampa Civic Center Home Federal Room for all new members, and for singers wishing to advance. (For audition information, go to tvyoungartists.com and click on “Auditions” in the menu bar.)
Please note: Current members do not need to audition unless they are trying to move up. Singers are eligible to audition for Advanced Choir at age 9, Concert Choir at age 12, Premier Singers at age 14.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 11th in the Nampa Civic Center: Apprentice Choir 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., Advanced Choir 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Concert Choir 7:00 to 8:15 p.m., Premier Singers 8:15 to 9:15 p.m.
